Award-winning documentary cinematography

Yoga is a 5000 year old mind-body practice originating in ancient India. Sadly, much of the depth of yoga practice is lost in the West and the appropriation of yoga practices by the modern yoga industry is considered problematic by many.

We were approached by Shadow Yoga founder, Emma Balnaves, to help bring her vision of a yoga documentary – which told a fuller story of the roots of Hatha Yoga – to life. The documentary project, AGNIYOGANA, was born.

We were responsible for principal cinematography in Nepal, managing the complexities of filming internationally and in a highly dynamic filming environment.

AGNIYOGANA collected numerous accolades and awards, including, but not limited to:
