The University of Melbourne – Anna's Story

Forging meaningful futures at the University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne is Australia’s top-ranked university and ranks thirteen globally (QS World University Rankings).

Degrees at Melbourne are a little different from your standard Australian university degree. They are modelled on those from top institutions overseas where students start with a broad three-year bachelors degree. Once completed, they can enter the workforce with a broad knowledge base, or gain specialised knowledge via a graduate degree or in graduate research. They also have the opportunity to study subjects outside as well as inside their chosen discipline, giving Melbourne students the opportunity to explore their passions and strengths, while providing the flexibility to specialise when they’re ready. This model is called the Melbourne curriculum.

We were approached by the University of Melbourne to develop a suite of authentic student stories to showcase the way the Melbourne Curriculum fosters curiosity, provides transformative learning experience and connects students with opportunities for an inspiring career – a dream brief.

We worked with the University to manage the end-to-end production of the videos, through every stage of pre-production, filming and post-production, including colour and sound design.

The resulting suite of five hero films, and multiple cutdown videos optimised for social media, were utilised as part of a multi-channel marketing and communications campaign.
